North East India Wildlife Tour
Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime North East India Wildlife Tour that brings you up close to two of the region’s most iconic species - the Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros and the Red Panda.
This 10night/11 day journey takes you deep into two unique ecosystems. We start with the floodplains and wetlands of Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the state of Assam famed for its population of Rhinos, Elephants, Wild Buffaloes, and Swamp Deer. We then proceed to the mist-laden Oak and Bamboo forests of Singalila National Park, amidst towering mountains on the India-Nepal border, one of the best places in the world to spot the rare and elusive Red Panda in the wild. Split evenly between the two destinations (5 nights each), this tour offers a rare blend of lowland and high-altitude wildlife experiences, scenic landscapes, and immersive encounters with North East India’s rich biodiversity. Both these parks are also a paradise for bird lovers, with opportunities to spot exotic birds like hornbills, colourful pheasants, aquatic birds and more. Travel with experienced naturalists and trackers, stay in remote yet comfortable lodges, and experience a slower, more soulful side of Indian wildlife tourism. Whether you’re a seasoned wildlife traveler or a curious explorer, the Rhino and Red Panda focused tour is a window into the untamed beauty and ecological diversity of India’s lesser-explored north east.North East India Wildlife Tour – Program Overview & Route Map
