Pugdundee\u2019s vision is to work closely with local guides for capacity building as they are the front runner for conservation in parks. In October, many guides had also attended our naturalist training workshop to enhance their skills.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-567\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pugdundeesafaris.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/2g-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"field guides of SatpuraTigerReserve\" width=\"844\" height=\"633\" \/><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides its mainstay of running wildlife lodges,\u00a0<strong><a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pugdundeesafaris.com\/\">Pugdundee Safaris<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0has been keenly engaged in conservation and community development activities. At Pugdundee we believe local people hold the future of the forests in their hands and can either help protect or destroy them. If we wish to conserve our forests, we must look after the needs of local people by helping to improve their ability to earn livelihoods. Our lodges set mostly in remote locations away from regular tourism hubs help ensure that the benefit of eco-tourism is distributed far and beyond.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.denwabackwaterescape.com\">Denwa Backwater Escape<\/a><\/strong> is located overlooking the mesmerizing backwaters of a dam built on Denwa River in <strong><a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pugdundeesafaris.com\/satpura-national-park\">Satpura National Park<\/a><\/strong>, the area is popularly known as Madhai. It is built on 10 acres of forested land along the river and across the river lies the national park which is approached by a boat and then by jeeps to go deeper into the forest. The lodge offers stunning views of the Denwa River, grasslands across, and rolling Pachmari hills.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rooms are done up in style with unique leather safari furniture, crisp cotton upholstery, linen, and local crafts. The main building and the pool are done up with vintage iron furniture and hand-crafted wooden furniture, the wood for which is sourced from old furniture and sleeper wood. The lodge estate is gifted with a unique undulating landscape, water bodies, and an indigenous forest with a variety of flora and fauna and stunning river
