Poem On Conservation | Wildlife Poems

Let there be colour, let there be green, let there be smiles that last much longer.
Let there be praise for nature, let there be love for the wild.
Let trees stand tall, let there be vision.
Let there be flight, let there be wind under the wings.
Let there be forests for generations to come, let existence be beautiful.
Let’s change a little, let’s conserve a little.

Wildlife conservation refers to the practice of protecting wild species and their habitats in order to maintain healthy wildlife species or populations and to restore, protect or enhance natural ecosystems.

Madhya Pradesh is the leading state with large intact forests and a sustainable tiger population. Madhya Pradesh, often called the Heart of India, is a state in central India. Its capital is Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh was originally the largest state in India until November 1, 2000 when the state of Chhattisgarh was carved out.

M.P. has successfully managed to safeguard its most critical tiger habitats over the past 45 years and is an exemplar for other states wishing to secure the future of its tiger-bearing forests. Madhya Pradesh is home to 11 national parks, including Bandhavgarh National Park, Kanha National Park, Satpura National Park, Sanjay National Park, Madhav National Park, Van Vihar National Park, Mandla Plant Fossils National Park, Panna National Park, Pench National Park, Kuno National Park and dinosaur fossil National Park Madhya Pradesh. Of India’s existing 53 tiger reserves, the six within M.P. have some of the most secure tiger populations on the planet. Kanha, Pench, Panna and Satpura now feature in the list of India’s 15 finest tiger reserves.

Three tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh – Kanha, Pench and Satpura – have implemented MSTrIPES – a GIS-based monitoring system that records real-time patrolling data, direct and indirect evidences of large carnivores and, more importantly, human disturbances.

We at Pugdundee Safaris continuously strive to deliver the best possible guest experience, while still integrating the conservation of jungles and the people living around. We are motivated by the hope of reaching out to people in the remotest areas of our country, as we believe that they are the front-runners of wildlife conservation. However, maybe just a drop in the ocean we consider that we are making a significant contribution to wildlife conservation and rural economy wherever our lodges are. Pugdundee Safaris has been keenly engaged in conservation and community development activities. At Pugdundee we believe local people hold the future of the forests in their hands and can either help protect or destroy them. If we wish to conserve our forests, we must look after the needs of local people by helping to improve their ability to earn livelihoods. Our lodges set mostly in remote locations away from regular tourism hubs help ensure that the benefit of eco-tourism is distributed far and beyond.

OUR STORY

Pugdundee Safaris is recognized as one of India’s leading responsible safari companies. With seven intimate jungle lodges in Central India and many bespoke wilderness experiences it presents the very best of the Indian subcontinent wildlife & hospitality.

At the heart of our sustainability vision is not only the commitment to reduce our impact on the shared environment but also to contribute toward a positive change. We strive to encourage avenues for economic well-being for the host communities that we co-exist with and charm our guests with authentic & holistic experiences. We adopted ESG in 2020, the international sustainability criteria for hotels, provided by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. In doing so, we realigned our commitments and positioned active governance, as the lever to manage our actions, monitor performance, and sustain the changes; in collaboration with our guests, tourism bodies, and industry networks.
